Maximum 3-cup anemometers have proven themselves in wind tunnel tests, mountain-top tests and in hundreds of thousands of household and institutional installations, to be rugged, reliable and accurate. Maximum anemometers have recorded wind speeds greater than 200 MPH on several occasions. In fact, some of the world's greatest recorded wind gusts were recorded using Maximum 3-cup anemometers.

Self-lubricating, Rulon J bearings, are not only stable under extreme conditions, but they also create a low moment of inertia that permits a rapid response to wind gusts and lulls. The Lexan cups are impervious to shock, vibration and sunlight, and have thermal properties which let them resist and shed icing far more effectively than metal anemometers. Thrust and joint bearings are O-ring mounted, self-aligning to a Beryllium copper shaft, and impervious to moisture and salt air. Maximum anemometers are ideal for use with various data retrieval systems. More than 35 years of in-the-field use, has provided the basis of our solid confidence in these sensors for a wide variety of applications.
